International Physical Environment Network (IPEN) Meeting
Prof Billie Giles-Corti is currently attending the International Physical Activity and Health Congress in Bangkok, Thailand. She also attended a pre-congress meeting of the International Physical Environment Network (IPEN), which is focused on collecting survey and GIS data from adolescents and adults from around 15 countries.
The Place, Health and Liveability team is currently collaborating with Deakin University to collect IPEN adolescent data in Melbourne, creating all the GIS data. Billie and Anna Timperio from Deakin represented the Melbourne-IPEN adolescent team at the meeting, joining delegates from Australia, India, Brazil, Africa, the US, the UK, the Czech Republic, Malaysia, Denmark, Portugal and New Zealand who were there to discuss the final stages of collection of the IPEN Adolescent data before data analyses commences in the first quarter of 2017.
